How did it all begin? Just before the onset of the COVID pandemic, I found myself chatting with a friend about my love for cooking and my desire to pursue it further! He suggested I start a website, a blog, or even a Facebook page. So, I decided to dive into all three! As the food brand began to gain traction, I initially named it Gay Dude Food LLC, but we’ve recently rebranded it to Cooking with Pride LLC.

Over the past year, while in conversation with my ex-husband, I shared my vision for the next steps of the brand, expressing my ambition to write a cookbook (still brainstorming ideas for that exciting addition). Throughout this journey, I've continued to create meals for friends, family, and co-workers, all of whom have been appreciative of the free food and supportive of my path. It’s been wonderful to witness their joy and hear their feedback as I navigate this experience. I won't pretend it’s been easy; the journey has been fraught with challenges, from the pandemic to shifting careers, civil rights struggles, political unrest, and, regrettably, personal losses.
